Lo spazio romano scelto da Alessandra Calvani, come sede lavorativa ed espositiva delle sue creazioni, è situato all’interno dell’area urbana ricca di archeologia industriale che si snoda tra il quartiere Testaccio, il Gazometro e l’Ostiense.
Lo studio di Alessandra Calvani è all’interno di una ex fonderia sorta nei primi anni del ‘900. L’atmosfera del luogo trattiene in parte la vocazione delle sue origini, con la persistente predominanza di ferro e mattoni tipici delle costruzioni industriali dell’epoca, ma con l’aggiunta di uno spirito contemporaneo nell’attento recupero architettonico dell’intero complesso che oggi ospita studi di architettura, gallerie di design, showrooms di moda e spazi espositivi che hanno convinto Alessandra Calvani a stabilire proprio qui la nuova sede del suo brand.

The space chosen by Alessandra Calvani in Rome as her studio and the showroom of her creations, is in an area rich in industrial archaeology that extends from the Testaccio district to the Gasometer and the Ostiense district.
Alessandra Calvani’s studio is inside an ex-foundry, built at the beginning of the 1900s. The atmosphere still maintains something of its origins, with the persistent predominance of iron and brick, typical of industrial buildings of that time, but with an added contemporary spirit due to the careful architectonic restoration of the entire complex which, today, houses architect studios, design galleries, fashion showrooms and exhibition spaces, which convinced Alessandra Calvani to relocate her brand’s studio and showroom to these premises.
